ECO AW 3 a basamento

The ECO AW 3 thermodynamic water heater utilizes the heat pump principle to recover calories naturally present in the air and transfer that heat to the cylinder for domestic hot water (DHW) production.

Air enters through the upper part of the appliance. In the evaporator, it transfers its calories to the refrigerant fluid, which is then compressed to increase its temperature. This heat is, in turn, transmitted to the sanitary water via the condenser without any greenhouse gas emissions.

If the heat pump is able to ensure the heating of the DHW, there is no need for electric integration; the heating element activates only if the temperature does not reach the set level (e.g., in winter with very harsh outdoor temperatures). The electric resistance is available in the unit as a back-up (featuring an integrated thermostat with a safety cutoff at 90°C).

The Bongioanni ECO AW 3 consumes up to 75% less electrical energy to heat water compared to a traditional electric water heater. Thanks to tax incentives (or energy grants), the investment can be amortized in a very short time. Furthermore, when paired with a Bongioanni SOLARX series photovoltaic system, the operating cost is virtually eliminated.
